Guidelines to maximise the benefits of your treatment...

Before:

Do   
  1. Drink lots of water, & or, herbal teas
  2. Eat easily digested foods ie;  Basmati rice, Dahl, Soups, Salads, Fruit
  3. Practise a few basic stretches.
  4. Wear loose clothing & bring extra warmth for afterwards. Relaxation causes the temperature to drop

Arrive a few mins  
early 
  1. To fill out consultation form, or update me on any issues.
  2. Use the bathroom.
  3. Start to relax.
   
   
During the Treatment

Do
  1. Actively engage in relaxing, mentally and physically
  2. Focus on sensation and..
  3. ..your breath.  

Tell me 
  1. If you become too hot/cold.
  2. If you need the pressure adjusting

     


Tell me 
  1. If you want the music changed, or off.
  2. Any areas that should be avoided.
  3. If you don't want oil in your hair!
  4. Your expectations for the treatment
  5. Any questions

Do not 
  1. Drink alcohol before or after treatment
  2. Eat heavy food immediately before.

Avoid
  1. Caffeine
  2. Heavy foods for 24hrs ie: Meat, cheese,
  3. deep fried foods, bread.

    A fabulous relaxing retreat day. The content a surprise! - A nice one! Had my first Thai massage, a great experience. Want another for longer!

    "I was introduced to Angela on a retreat day. I made an appointment initially for an ayurvedic consultation, it was amazing. I was blown away by her knowledge and sensitivity. Not only are the treatments she offers very therapeutic for the literal body, but there is something about what she does that works on a deeply emotional level. OK, I'm a closet hippie but I'm also a cynic which means its pretty difficult to accept some of the more untangible aspects of holistic treatments, with Angela I believe and trust."

    Angela took great care from the outset. Not only was the environment welcoming and warm but also Angelas warmth put me at ease immediately. I hadn't long had my 2nd baby and was in need of a massage, as I had not slept well and was feeling tense all over. After the consultation, Angela talked me through the type of massage she thought would suit me and I agreed. The massage was heavenly, such care was taken that I felt totally at ease and completely relaxed and possible slept, I only hope I didnt dribble!!! The music was soothing and I can honestly say I didnt want to move off the couch and the hour massage just wasnt long enough, next time I will book as long a massage as I can!!       Thank you Angela.

  • Pregnancy massage
    I was very surprised to find myself at such a beautiful and relaxing location at the edge of Canterbury. I had decided that a pregnancy massage was the perfect thing to start my maternity leave.

    I was a bit wary at first as I usually don't really like people in my personal space but Angelas professionalism immediately put me at my ease. Angela took great care throughout the massage to make sure I was comfortable, whilst at the same time allowed me to relax and enjoy the experience, which was carried out with considerable expertise
